My Portfolio

Happy New Year! to all my friends and clients. lets hope 2014 opens doors to new creative and exciting projects...

Note Card Designs...

These are some funky note card designs. I used Pencils, paint and markers to build up the layers and patterns on the lion fish and the spotted grouper.

The lizards were a originally a pencil sketch I developed digitally. I like the single square for note cards, but I'm thinking with a pattern repeat they would also be good for gift wrap, fabrics and wall paper applications.

The Dragon and Imp cupcakes were drawn using pencil, and pen wash. I've used them for friends birthdays and they came from my inner faerie!

The first four designs were inspired by a trip to a church in Exuma, Bahamas. The Stained glass windows were simple and contemporary in design but really striking when the sun shone through them. I wanted to recreate this in my festive designs. "The Angels on High" and "The Three Kings" are traditional images recognised and used in so many designs, while the "Mince Pie Santa" is a modern twist on today's festivities.

these  designs were drawn digitally, no one shape identical and they were all individually coloured to give the impression of light shining through every segment. Each design took about a week to create.

I am a big kid at heart and love to imagine what snowmen, gingerbread men and other "make believe things" would do and wear if they came to life

Photos...

I love to study people and wildlife. I had the opportunity to take some amazing photos while I was living in The Bahamas. I take pictures where ever I go, a passion inherited from my dad, so this is a shout out to you!..."thanks Dad, for encouraging my to follow my passion".

Portraits...
Although I did a portrait rotation at college, I only started practicing a couple of years ago but I have had good feedback, so i'm spurred on to keep going. That's the thing with art, as an artist, you never stop learning and developing.

All these portraits are drawn with pencil accented with pen.
